Precautions during operation of jaw crusher

1. Preparation before startup: Before startup, a comprehensive inspection of the equipment must be carried out. Check the wear of the damaged gear plate; Adjust the size of the discharge port; Check if there is any ore in the crushing chamber, and if there are large pieces of ore, they must be removed; Check whether the connecting bolts are loose, whether the protective covers of the pulley and flywheel are intact, whether the tension of the triangular belt and tension spring is appropriate, whether the oil storage tank (or dry oil reservoir) is fully filled and the lubrication system is in good condition, and whether the electrical equipment and signal system are normal.
Before starting the jaw crusher, the oil pump motor and cooling system should be started first. After 3-4 minutes, when the oil pressure and flow indicators are normal, start the motor again. After starting, if the jaw crusher emits abnormal sound, it should stop running and restart the machine after identifying and eliminating the defect. The jaw crusher must be started without load. After a period of time, the feeding equipment can only be started after normal operation.
3. During operation, it is necessary to pay attention to uniform feeding and avoid lateral feeding or filling with materials to avoid unilateral overload or overload. The crushing chamber is not allowed to be filled with ore, and the maximum size of the ore feeding block should not be greater than 0.85 times the width of the ore feeding port. At the same time, during ore feeding, prevent uncrushed materials from entering the jaw crusher. During the operation, we should always pay attention to large blocks of ore getting stuck at the feeding port. If they are already stuck, we should use iron hooks to dig through the ore. If it is necessary to remove large pieces of ore from the crushing chamber, special instruments should be used and it is prohibited to do these tasks by hand to avoid accidents.
4. During machine operation, if there is too much ore feeding or if the crushing chamber is blocked, the ore feeding should be suspended, and the ore in the crushing chamber should be crushed before starting. During operation, regular inspections should also be conducted to observe the working conditions of each part and the bearing temperature. For large jaw crushers, the temperature of the sliding bearing usually does not exceed 60 ℃ to prevent alloy bearing melting and burning accidents. When it is found that the bearing temperature is very high, effective measures should be taken in a timely manner to reduce the bearing temperature (such as forced ventilation or water cooling).
5. Pay attention to timely lubrication of the equipment during operation. The lubricating grease added to the bearing seat is approximately 50% of its space volume and is replaced every 3-6 months. When changing the oil, clean the raceway of the ball bearing with clean gasoline or kerosene. An appropriate amount of lubricating grease should be injected between the bracket and bracket seat. When the oil pump suddenly malfunctions, due to the large swing force, it takes 15-20 minutes for the crusher to stop running. At this point, it is necessary to manually press the oil pump to supply oil to maintain bearing lubrication and avoid bearing burning accidents.
In order to ensure the normal operation of the machine, it is not allowed for individuals who are not familiar with the operating procedures to operate the jaw crusher alone. Machine operators must also receive safety technical education before they can operate.
7. When parking, the parking must be carried out in accordance with the production process sequence. Stop feeding the ore first, wait until all the ore in the crushing chamber is discharged, and then stop the jaw crusher and belt conveyor. When the crusher stops, the lubrication and cooling system can stop. In winter, the circulating cooling water inside the bearings should be drained to prevent them from freezing and cracking. Clean and inspect all parts of the machine after shutdown.
8. If the jaw crusher suddenly stops for any reason, the accumulated ore in the crushing chamber must be cleaned before starting after the accident is resolved.
