The situation where the jaw plate of a jaw crusher needs to be replaced is nothing more than that it is no longer functioning properly or seriously affects normal operation. If this situation occurs, it indicates that the jaw plate is either broken or severely worn, and the reasons for causing this are also divided into several types:
1. The jaw plate of the jaw crusher itself has shortcomings during manufacturing. Generally, there are many air holes on the jaw plate during casting. Some jaw plates can greatly reduce the existence of these air holes through process treatment, while others still have many air holes. This can lead to insufficient durability of jaw plates with more air holes. After long-term use, they are prone to severe deformation, bending, or fracture, Causing frequent replacement by users.
2. The jaw crusher mainly processes ore materials with a compressive strength below 320Mpa. If materials with a compressive strength exceeding this strength are crushed for a long time, the jaw plate will also receive an impact pressure exceeding its own bearing capacity, and work under overload for a long time. Even the jaw plate made of high-quality and very resistant materials will still fracture.
3. The fixed jaw plate of a jaw crusher is fixed, but the moving jaw plate needs to move back and forth. During this process, the fixing bolts connecting the moving jaw plate are easily loosened or broken due to the intense movement of the moving jaw plate, resulting in the deviation of the position of the moving jaw plate, collision with other support plates around it, and finally fracture.
Based on the above reasons, in order to solve the problem of frequent replacement of jaw plates, users are required to achieve the following points during use:
1. When purchasing replacement jaw plates, check whether the quality of the jaw plates is qualified and whether the jaw plates meet the usage standards, rather than defective products;
2. Conduct irregular spot checks on materials. Due to factors such as material composition, hardness, and mud content that have a significant impact on the performance and service life of the jaw plate, foreign objects and materials with high hardness should be removed in advance before material crushing, or equipment parameters should be adjusted to meet safety production conditions.
3. Before starting up and using, please carefully check whether the connecting components of the equipment are loose or abnormal, whether the bolts and nuts are tightened, etc. Only after checking for no abnormalities can you start using it.
